We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Paralegal to join our legal team. As a Paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting attorneys by conducting legal research, drafting documents, organizing files, and managing case logistics. This position requires a strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a law firm or legal department and be comfortable handling confidential information. You will be expected to assist in trial preparation, maintain case files, and ensure that all legal documents are accurate and filed in a timely manner. Your ability to multitask and prioritize assignments will be essential in this fast-paced environment.
Key duties include preparing affidavits, legal correspondence, and other documents for attorneys; organizing and maintaining documents in a paper or electronic filing system; filing pleadings with court clerks; helping prepare for trial by organizing exhibits and assisting with other tasks as needed; and calling clients, witnesses, lawyers, and outside vendors to schedule interviews, meetings, and depositions.
You should be familiar with legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. A certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program is preferred, and a bachelor’s degree in law, political science, or a related field is advantageous.
